Welcome to the Lord of the Sabbath Archive
In early 2011, while on a journey of reading the New Testament, I was struck at how the growing Christian Church, as detailed in the book of Acts, and our Lord Jesus Christ Himself observed the weekly Sabbath. I always thought that only Jewish observers kept this and that Jesus did away with it. Desiring some insight from others on this, an Internet search led me to LordOfTheSabbath.org where I found 52 radio programs and supporting materials that Biblically covered the Sabbath and related topics and made me want to dig even further into God's word for His thoughts and His will on this. I found the programs informative and warmly and lovingly presented by their author, Kenny Kitzke.
Through the website contact form, I thanked him for creating the program and the site, and quickly struck up a warm friendship of just about four years with Kenny, lasting until his passing in 2015.
We were planning a follow-up site which I was to build for him, aptly named Following The Lord Of The Sabbath, which was to be a blog exploring following our Lord Jesus Christ in times where the tide of the world was building against His flock more and more. It was also to more permanently stage an archive of the radio program. Wishing to preserve and present the site contents so that others may still come to our Lord and Savior through some of the teachings, I
preserved the program content, and with permission from Kenny's eldest son, have provided this archive
These years later, I will not be building or writing for a FollowingTheLordOfTheSabbath site, but am keeping the plan of having an archive of the Lord of the Sabbath Radio Program so that others may find and benefit from Kenny's exploration of God's Word on the Sabbath, His Holy Days, and more.
New listeners or readers can no longer benefit from repartee with the presenter, but the hope is that they may be inspired to dig further into God's Word on their own after each program to become closer followers or the Lord of the Sabbath.
Thanks be to God who makes all things possible, and especially for His patience in my fulfilling this goal for a friend in Christ!
