There has never been a weekly radio program dedicated to the Lord of the Sabbath and the days for rest and worship that the LORD made for mankind to keep holy.
In 2004, Brother Kenny Kitzke was led to produce the Lord of the Sabbath radio series for LawstSheep Ministries as an outreach to current and prospective Christian, Jewish and Gentile Sabbath-keepers. The series was played for the first time in 2005 on WWNL AM-1080 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and on WSKY AM-1230 in Asheville, North Carolina on the Wilkins Communications Network. The series has since been broadcast in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Omaha, Nebraska, Indianapolis, Indiana and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania.
A local supporter of the Lord of the Sabbath (LOTS) series offered to buy a web site for LOTS for 2007. Both the radio broadcasts and the texts could now be accessed by anyone in the world with internet capability. Another local brother in Jesus/Y’shua, offered to create this web site. I am most appreciative to these men for expanding this teaching outreach.
In its first year, with little promotion, visitors from some 15 countries and 30 of the USA states have been able to learn more about the Lord of the Sabbath and the days He made for mankind.
With this vastly greater availability of LOTS messages via the web site at much lower cost than radio broadcasts for limited audiences, the broadcast series was terminated at the end of 2008.
While almost every Christian bible reader is familiar with the Fourth Commandment, Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, few are aware of its origin and why Sabbaths were indeed made for man by God. Even fewer Christians could affirm that Jesus/Y’Shua said that He was Lord of the Sabbath. In fact, the only thing that Jesus ever said He was Lord of was the Sabbath!
Still fewer Christians know that when the LORD commanded the weekly, seventh-day Sabbath as a festival for His people for rest, worship and fellowship, He also sanctified seven other annual holy Sabbath days for rest and worship before Him. These appointed, annual holy day Sabbaths were related to the three pilgrim Feasts of the LORD to be observed before Him in Jerusalem.
While these Feasts were given to Israel by Moses, to be observed forever in all their generations, the LORD makes it plain in Leviticus 23: 2 that "These are My Feasts." His feasts are for His people; the sheep in His pasture, from every fold, whether a Jew, a Gentile or of the church of God led by His Son. In fact, most Christians recognize "Pentecost" as the annual holy day after His ascension when the church of God was launched after receiving the Holy Spirit of God.
Although the series covers many aspects of commanded seventh-day Sabbath-keeping, it also has a major emphasis on these annual Feasts and holy Sabbaths of the LORD. This includes their historic meaning to Israel, but also their prophetic meaning for Christians to be fulfilled in Christ’s first and second coming. The Feasts of the LORD help reveal details in the plan of salvation for mankind made by our Creator which is difficult to discover any other way.
The program series begins with the first Sabbath day in a Gregorian calendar year. The series is chronological and introduces the three Feasts of the LORD as the year unfolds.
